Commissioned piano design for the University of Leeds and International Piano Competition for the Piano Trail as part of the Competition held in 2018.
Collaboration with Ollie Getley.
The concept of the design was to soundproof the piano and alter how the sound escaped; diverted through the brass horn. The wooden cladding secured the insulation and provided a very different aesthetic to the instrument.
For our second commission we worked to a brief set by Classic FM to design their Leeds Train Station piano. We worked to a small timeframe, budget and specifications set by the Train Station.
The image below was the original design with a swing bench but this had to be changed to adhere to the Station's health and safety needs.
